Mrs. Cook asked the third graders to help kindergarten jump rope.  We are working hard on our skills to promote "Jump for Heart!"

Ms. Gaul is from Luther College.  She will be teaching in our room throughout the month of January.  She conducted an experiment to figure out which foods contain starch.

This group is really discussing if an apple contains starch.

This group is recording data and comparing it to their predictions.
Thank you to all the families that contributed money so that we could create our pizza basket.  We brought in a total of $132.  Our basket cost $60 to make, so $73 dollars went to the Henning family.  I hope a lot of you can make it to the supper and auction tonight.  Our basket contains a pizza cookbook created by our class.  Believe me, each recipe is unique!  Pepperoni pizza seems to be a class favorite!  Thanks for caring and making this an experience that my class will remember.
A group hug to send Ms. Myhre off into the teaching world!

It appears that these two are on Santa's nice list since everyone is smiliing.  Thanks, Ms. Ryder, for sharing the picture with us!

We took a new class picture yesterday.  We are sad to say good-bye to Ms. Myhre and Thursday is her last day in our classroom.  She's going to be subbing in our school for a few weeks, so we'll still be able to see her!  We wish her the best as she searches for a job.  She'll be a great teacher!
